Beech-nut's Baby Food Rewards Program
At 4 months old. my son is beginning to take a big interest in food and I am beginning to get into solid foods. I haven't completely decided on what we'll do but I am impressed by a rewards program I happened upon*.
Beech-Nut is a baby food company. Their aim is to be nutritious and reading that they use natural ingredients makes me think they're serious. I'm also a bit more inclined to try them out with the offers they have.
My first step was to sign up here for the newsletter. Not long after doing so I received coupons in my inbox. The coupons are $1/1 8oz Beech-Nut cereal and $1/3 Beech-Nut items. After signing up, be sure to use your coupons. For even more savings, their rewards program works like this:
That simple! Make sure to fill out and send in this form and your coupons (any set you choose) will be on its way to you! One form per envelope, must send proof of purchase and expect 8 weeks for shipment of coupons. While supplies last.
Have you or do you plan to try this out? I'm considering it.
*I really did just happen upon this offer. I am not being paid for anything I've said here nor have I been given any products or compensation.

Great Value! $3/2 Johnson & Johnson tearpad!
My local Randalls/Safeway has $3/2 Johnson & Johnson Red Cross Products tearpad in the first aid isle. These could be great at Walmart for $1.03 in overage after buying 2 trial size first aid kits.
I'm planning to buy first aid kits to go in our hurricane prep kit. Being that we live in an area where hurricanes have happened several times before not to even mention that I have a child now, I want to take some time this year to get us prepared. That means gathering and stocking up on supplies in advance. These first aid kits and the Dial bodywash trial size items will go into our kits. It doesn't hurt that there's overage!
Here's hoping that my Walmart trip in the morning goes well.

Coupon Lingo!
There are several little abbreviations that are good to know when using coupons. I will be adding to this list, I'm sure, as I continue learning.
Here are the basics for now:
Blinkies - These are the machines in the grocery store that dispense coupons. Called blinkies due to the blinking lights on them.
BOGO - Buy one get one
Catalina - Also called CATs. These are coupons that print out alongside your receipt in grocery stores. They either save you money or a specific product or they save you a certain amount off your entire purchase.
ECB - Extra Care Bucks. These are CVS rewards that print on the end of your receipt when you earn them and are used same as cash at CVS. You get these by using your green bag tag, buying certain products or after spending a certain amount annually. Make sure that you own a CVS card so that you can earn these.
Green Bag Tag - This is a tag from CVS that earns you ECBs. You scan your tag with every purchase and after every 4 scans, you get one ECB. For more information on this tag and ECBs.
Home Mailer - These are coupons that are mailed to your home.
IP - Internet Printable. These are coupons that you print from your computer. The print limit is usually two.
OYNO - On Your Next Order. This refers to coupons/catalinas that you use on your next grocery order.
OOP - Out of pocket. This is the amount that you pay out of pocket after coupons and deals.
Peelies - Peelies are coupons that you peel from products hence the name peelies.
PG - Proctor and Gamble. Another of the three Sunday coupon inserts
RP - Red Plum. The last of the three Sunday coupon inserts
RR - Register Rewards. These are much like ECBs except they are printed like catalinas and come from Walgreens.
SS- Smartsource. One of the three Sunday coupon inserts
Stacking - This is when you use two coupons (one store coupon and one manufacturer's) together on a specific item to get a better deal. Stores like Target allow stacking.
Tearpad - These are pads of coupons in grocery stores. You can find them on displays, in the isles in front of the item the coupon is for.
WYB - When you buy. This can be used in the following way: Get one free WYB 2, for example.
YMMV - Your Mileage May Vary meaning it works (or is priced) this way for me but it may or may not be the same for you.

Target Matchup Update
Earlier today while trying to work my way down the list of Target matchups, my computer started acting up and it took me forever to get it back up and running. I wasn't able to post pictures or more information from my short Target trip so here I am to finally do it.
Here are the items I was able to check on. Please remember that prices are regional and may even vary by store:
Aveeno Moisturizing Lotion 12 oz $6.49. Using both the Target Web Coupon and the coupon available here, you should be able to get this for $4.49.
NUK Trendline Cups for toddlers is $6.99. With both the Target Web coupon and the NUK coupon, this item will be $4.99.
Gerber Graduate Bunch-a-Bowls 4-pk rang up $4.99. With Target Web Coupon and NUK coupon, you'll pay 3.49 for the set.

$1.00 off $3 or more up and up product Target Web Coupon
- Our up and up diapers are $6.49 as you can see in the picture. Using one of the above coupons, you can diapers as cheap as $5.49. These are size two which is what my little guy fits into right now.
Lastly, there is a coupon I want to mention.
I mistakenly grouped it with my Target Web Coupons. Its available on the Target coupon site like the others (and also here). Its for $1.00 off any one Scotch brand Scissors.
- The 8 inch home and office Scotch scissors are $1.99. With the coupon from either link, you'll pay just $1.00 for a nice pair of scissors. If you're like me, you'll plan to buy them as backup coupon scissors!
I thought I took more pictures than I did but it really was just a quick trip. Next time I'll put more time into it and see what I can find with the following Target coupons that are available on the Target coupon site.

Found Coupon: Walmart Baby Isle + Playtex
In a few months, Jett will be needing a few new baby items. Instead of a rattle, tiny socks or an infant hat, we'll need a sippy cup, a bowl set and some utensils! My boy is getting so big already!
While I was searching through the cups, spoons and bowls to find one that might be a good one (I'm still searching!), I found this little jewel stuck to several of the Playtex Lil Gripper sippy cup duo packs.
It says:
Save $1.00 off any one Playtex utensil set or two Playtex plates or bowls.
I didn't open up the coupon or take it off the package so I don't know when it expires. Be sure to check your local Walmart for information!

Luvs - 10% off Facebook order also 1.00 coupon by email
A surprising way to get coupons
This may just be new to me but if you have airline miles, you may be able to use them to get a newspaper subscription!
I was trying to figure out how to get a flight for my sister when I happened to look at the redeem miles link. A newspaper subscription! Of course one subscription is not nearly enough but it definitely helps. Every little bit does.
This reminds me to always keep my eyes open for ways to get coupons and subscriptions and in this case I'm able to do so without putting any money out of pocket!

Food Town Matchups
Food Town is a local grocery store. If you are in Houston, you should be able to find a location using this link: Food Town locations. If you find one be sure to stop in for their full ad. That way you can take it to Walmart and price match if that's a store you prefer. Lastly, Food Town, like other grocery stores, sends out a smaller sales ad in the mail. This one has a weekly coupon offer if you spend a minimum of 10 dollars which is easy to do. If you have it, this week the free item is a dozen eggs.
Here are a few good deals for the week of 6/1 - 6/7.

Grocery Trip: 1.00 of Cooking Creme! Cheap deal at Walmart!
If you haven't tried this, you should! These little tubs are in the dairy section near the cream cheese and the cheese.
Coupons.com is now offering a printable coupon for 1.00 off 1! At Walmart you can find these 1.48 each after the coupon.
Deal:
2 cooking cremes @ 2.48 each. Use 2 x 1.00/1 coupons. Total after coupons is 2.96 for two which is cheaper than the 2 for $6 sale at Randalls. Randalls is not the bad guy though. I did find one variety for half off there.
I usually buy either the Italian or the Santa Fe but if you're a fan of garlic, be sure to print these out and check if your local Randalls has these for half off.
Your deal will look like this:
2 cooking cremes @ $3 each. 50% off = 1.50 each. Use 2 x 1.00/1 coupons making them 0.50 each. Pay one dollar for two garlic cooking cremes! Thats a five dollar savings!
I haven't tried this flavor but I will soon. Can't beat 0.50 cooking cremes!
